Our Mission
Every year, tens of thousands of Americans die in vehicle crashes where faster post-crash care interventions could have made the difference. Many victims are alive when EMS arrives but later die from uncontrolled bleeding.
At LSL, our urgent mission is to eliminate the dangerous time gap between crash and care by modernizing 9-1-1 crash response. We are a non-profit 501(c)(4) public benefit corporation dedicated to reducing preventable traffic deaths by ensuring every second counts from the moment of impact.
Our Role
LSL serves as:
- The official Project Management Organization & National Education Lead for the public/private funded Airbag Deployment-to-911 Demonstration Projects in Southern California and Central Texas in partnership with the University of California, Riverside (UCR) Center for Environmental Research and Technology (CE-CERT) and Texas A&M University Center for Applied Communications and Networks (CACN).
- A trusted policy and consulting partner, bridging academic research with real-world automotive 9-1-1 innovation.
- A coalition builder, uniting governments, automakers, academia, and public safety agencies to create a safer future.
